John K. Samson in support of Churchill’s Hungry Bears Food Bank
Supporting: Hungry Bears Food Bank
Hear John K. Samson perform Postdoc Blues live in Churchill, Manitoba, and discuss the Hungry Bears Food Bank.
Churchill is a remote community in the Canadian subarctic, and is currently dealing with the closure of the port, one of the community’s largest employers. Over 10% of residents are out of work. Two benefit concerts aimed to raise attention and funds for the Hungry Bears Food Bank with shows in both Winnipeg and Churchill.
Donations can be offered online at
“Churchillians endure long, cold winters and the Hungry Bears Food Bank needs your support to help our community make it through to spring. Please consider donating so we can provide an essential service to individuals and families in the community who may not have access to important food resources.”
